Horses are individuals and just like us, they don't all learn the same way. As riders and trainers, we need to listen to what each horse is telling us and ride in a way that effectively communicates with them. The well-being of our animals must be first and foremost. I believe the most important character trait a rider needs is patience, followed by humility and an insatiable desire to learn. I specialize in helping jumpers and eventers achieve a more supple, rideable athlete on the flat. I am a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist on a self-trained horse with over 25 years of experience. My training/teaching technique has been molded by years of riding with Martin Kuhn of StarWest. I have ridden regularly with Gerhard Politz and have ridden with Lilo Fore, Col Christian Carde, Jeanne McDonald, Jana Wagner, Cindy Ishoy, Gunnar Ostergaard, Claudio Oliviera, and Maryal Barnett. I am based in the Metro East area of St. Louis at beautiful Marshall Show Stables in Moro, Illinois. I love every minute I spend with horses and each new opportunity to learn something from them. They are the best teachers!
